Transition Kerry & Tralee Bay Wetlands are running a series of events this autumn celebrating the rivers of Tralee, I’ll be kicking off the series next Sunday afternoon.
Entitled A psychogeographical exploration of Tralee’s rivers this event will be consist of two parts, a talk introducing Tralee’s often misunderstood rivers, followed by a cycle that explores their paths, historic and present, natural and man-made, you are free to join each event individually but for a full deep dive into fluvial Tralee both events are recommended.
The talk will take place at the Wetlands from 2pm to 3pm, followed by the cycle from 3pm to 5pm which will aim to visit five rivers/streams in the town.
The cycle will be at a leisurely pace, departing from and returning to the Wetlands.
This event is free thanks to the support of the Local Authority Waters Programme (LAWPRO) and Kerry County Council.
