I learned of the existence of World Standards Day
Taking place every year on 14 October, World Standards Day offers the opportunity to increase understanding of the importance of standardization.
But in the spirit of standards the date of observance varies by standards organisations, this year American National Standards Institute decided that it should be celebrated in the USA on the 14th of November, while in 2012 the Standards Council of Canada celebrated it on the 12th of October as the 14th was a Sunday !
